The multistory steel structure housing,which is one of mainly promoted form in the future civil construction,will have a broad prospects for development.However, due to its relatively late beginning in China,the design level and the construction technology are not very mature yet,the economic effect are not very good.In view of these questions,this article has conducted the research to the optimum design of multistory steel frame structure in order to use the material reasonably,enhance the efficiency of design and reduce the cost of project construction.The optimum design of structure is a method of combining mechanics concept with optimization techniques to research the structure of the optimal design,which is based on the code and the stipulation for design by using computer.Compared with the traditional structural design,the optimum design of structure is more scientific,and its design is more reasonable,which can achieve the coordination and the unification between the efficiency and the security.Carrying on the optimum design of structure the applied research has a very big practical significance.This article narrates the principle and the method of the structural optimum design, analyses the basic principle of the steel structure design and gives the correlation design formula.According to this,the finite element model based on project is founded by using the software of ANSYS,the structure is analysed and caculated,and the result data is extracted by using the procedure based on APDL language.This not only examines the structure primitive design effectively,but also evaluates the optimized parameter,which has made the essential preparation for the structure optimized design. Then in the situation of the most disadvantageous load combination,the optimized design are carried on by using the optimized toolbox of the ANSYS.After the optimization,the section size of the structural unit improved obviously,which has obtained a very good economic effect.Simultaneously the results are compared under the different optimized method,we discovered that First-Order method is more accurate than the Sub-problem method,the optimized effect is better,but we should avoid restraining to the local minimum.And then the model with the constant cross-sections column is compared,we pointe out that the strcture is feasible.Through confirming the optimized result,it is proved that the optimized method of the ANSYS is an effective method.It not only improves the design efficiency,atones insufficient experience of the designers,but also guarantees the engineering design quality,and speeds up the project progress,which has a big practical significance.
