With the expansion of the power system size, the GUI-based power system analysis software in the power system is more widely used and plays an increasingly important role. People enhance the function of graphics system and improve the functions of interactive and analysis. At present, there are problems in the parameter format incompatibility among the different producers, the information exchanging difficulty in different levels of power system information center, the repeating development of the graphic platform. This paper is dedicated to solve these three problems. In this paper, the IEC-61970 standards and common information model (CIM) is used to constructs the models of power system's graphics component and a graphic platform based on COM architecture is designed. The former two problems are solved by using standard CIM format. The com technology is used to solve the repeating development problem. At last, the PQ power flow algorithm is realized on the platform to prove the platform.
