Research And Application On The Configurable MES Of The Machinery Processing Enterprises

Manufacturing execution system (MES), a kind of information management system aiming at shop floor, is one of important processes for e-enterprise which is between the upper production planning management system and the lower industrial control system. As a delivery system between the upper and the lower, MES primarily conveys instructions from the upper to the production field, at the same time, collects, communicates and processes the information from the production field to the upper timely and rapidly. The level of the production management and the manufacturing capability will be improved and enhanced through the implementation of MES by which the information gap between the upper and the lower can be filled.However, since the different production organization in different enterprises, the individual requirement toward MES is important. Besides, the enterprise business is changing with the continuous development of enterprise. So, the implementation and operation of MES needs to meet the changing demand. These bring some difficulty for the successful implementation and sustained operation of MES. The research to construct a configurable MES has been made based on the machining enterprise. It provides a new method for successful implementation and better stable operation of MES.The main content of this paper includes:Firstly, the characteristics, function and present research of MES are briefly introduced, and its development trend is summarized. The problem of application and implementation of MES has been studied, and the production operations and demand of maching enterprise also have been studied A kind of architecture about the configurable MES for maching enterprise has been provided.Secondly, based on the architecture of configurable MES, the configuration about data structure and business process has been studied. The entity structure, property structure and business operations have been studied for the configuration of data structure. The configuration of business process also has been studied.Finally, the research in this paper has been applied. A set of MES for machining enterprise has been developed. It can be adjusted flexibly when the demand of enterprise changes, through the interactive configuration of parameters.
