Over the last decade China's urban construction is in an unprecedented period of rapid development, urban development and construction of commercial housing is also being launched with unprecedented speed and scale. Increasingly scarce land resources in the urban context, high-rise residential buildings have unique advantages in land conservation, and improve development benefit. Meanwhile, the high-rise housing to accommodate the huge population and its relative strength of large-scale residents to bring a series problems for the high-rise residents, such as far from the nature, keeping the distance of the neighborhood , lacking the feel of security, lacking the sense of community belongings and community identification.The topic in human-oriented principle, from the "humanism" point of view, and on the basis of people's physical, psychological, behavioral, emotional demands. Through the investigates of high-rise residential living situation in HeFei, and beginning from the summary of the problems which concern the non-humanism issue for high-rise residential buildings, analyzed the concept and principle of the humanism-based design of high-rise residential buildings. Studying the planning and design, layout, traffic, landscape and other aspects of high-rise residential buildings to advising improved designs to alleviate the high-density living environment which impacts on residents and raised the high-rise residential living quality.This topic includes the three main parts. The first part, to clarify the background of topics, the purpose and significance of the basic ideas, the main contents and framework; from the actual research, analyzes the current high-rise housing design in non-humanism problems; building up the theoretical framework based on humanism high-rise residential design. The second part, from the analysis of high-level psychological and behavioral characteristics of households and housing demand, discusses high-rise residential planning, appearance, layout and landscape design with four aspects in the humanism way and by the actual example to further clarify the design strategy. The third part is the summary on the main conclusions of the topic, advising the prospects and inadequate portion as well.
