Objective:Based on the essence of qi imbalance of vertigo, we use Huatan Xifeng Shengjiang Decoction as experimental medication and took Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction as the control treatment. Comparing the therapeutic effect of two therapy on vascular vertigo of phlegm covered type, in order to underlie for the progressiveness and reliability of the method of combining disease and syndrome, and to provide new ideas on the treatment of vascular vertigo.Method:To adopt the research of a randomized and controlled method, and incorporate clinical cases with random number table. The control group was treated with Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction. On the basis of it, the treatment group was received the medicine of ascending lucidity and descending turbidity. They were both treated for 2 weeks and given TCM granules. During the treatment, no vertigo medicine is permitted. To observe the curative effect in two groups and to evaluate the change of TCD. TCM dizziness clinical syndrome rating scale scores, DHI scale scores and DRAS scale scores were reviewed to evaluate the condition. In addition, we also observed adverse events happening in two groups.Results:(1)The totel of the patients (n=53) were randomly divided into the treatment group (n=28) and the control group(n=25). Three cases in treatment group and one cases in control group were eliminated and fallen off. There are no difference in aspect of age, sex, height, weight, education, occupation, medical history, condition, TCD velocity, TCM dizziness clinical syndrome rating scale scores, DHI scale scores and DARS scale scores (P> 0.05). (2)The total effective rate in the treatment group was 92%, in the control group was 71% and had a significant difference(P< 0.05). (3)The TCD results suggest that the V peak of the internal carotid system and vertebral basilar system in the two groups are closing to the normal value. The velocity in low speed of VA in treatment group is higher than that in control group(P<0.05). The TCD velocity in other arteries had no significant difference(P>0.05). However, in terms of improvement, the treatment is better than the control group. Before and after its own comparison, the treatment group of the velocity in low speed of VA, low and high speed of BA is better than the control group. (4) TCM dizziness clinical syndrome rating scale score in treatment group is 9.56±6.95, obviously lower than that in the control group(14.25±7.81,P<0.05). In terms of the degree of vertigo, headache, dizziness, giddy and limb numbness, the score in treatment group is lower than that in control group. There has a significant difference on the D-value of TCM scare scores before and after treatment in two groups (P<0.05). (5) The DHI Scale score of two groups decreased significantly compared with that in initiation (P<0.05), and compared with control group (10.32±5.99), the score of treatment group(14.83±8.67) is lower (P<0.05). In terms of physical point, the treatment group is lower than the control group. (6) The DARS scale score (2.88±2.52) in treatment group was lower than that in control group (4.54+3.06) after 14 days (P<0.05). The D-value between two groups has a significant difference. (7) No adverse event be found in two groups after treatment. Conclusion:Huatan Xifeng Shengjiang Decoction can change the pathological state of patient on vascular vertigo of phlegm covered type. It had an effective result in relieving clinical symptoms, reducing the vertigo degree, improving brain blood supply and improving the living quality. This scheme is easy to control and has no adverse reaction. It is better than the treatment simply according to syndrome differentiation:...
