By the methods of determining the nature and quantitative research, this paper describes the differences of questions in report style and artistic style, and attempts to make explanations from restriction of the style.Firstly, this paper investigates the distribution differences of the questions in two kinds of style in terms of macroscopic. By marking with 21 language and speech characteristics of five respects in 2,000,000 word language materials, such as question rate, average word number of question, language environment, structure, function, this paper describes the distribution differences of the questions in report style and artistic style, and has explained the causes. Secondly, this paper discusses three kinds of questions, such as special question and two kinds of rhetorical question, in two kinds of style in terms of microscopic. From the respects of language environment, function, communication mission, interrogative pronoun, end of the sentence modal particle, question position, ways and forms of answer, the article finds out the differences and tries to reveal the causes.The article thinks, the questions have distribution differences and obvious differences in concrete type questions in two kinds of style. It indicates that the questions have stylistic decomposition in report style and artistic style.
