Research On E-government Of Construction Industry

E-government is the popular issue of IT application. Developed countries with advanced IT application are implementing E-government. This paper examines the necessity of the E-government in construction industry, analyses the application model and development stage of E-government in construction industry, and notes that the E-government development in China is on the way of establishing platform in construction industry in relation to the Government-Internet project.Through comparing the difference of E-government between domestic and foreign government in construction industry, this paper points out that there are some problems such as poor interaction, blocked information flows, old-fashion perception of government officers, digital gap and so on, analyses the barriers which hind the popularity of E-government.This paper expresses the viewpoint that we should destroy the pyramid-management model in construction industry which is from examining and approving to supervision, then service, and should establish net-management system of platform construction, government-internet system. In order to cover the process of project construction and to realize the goal that E-government construction industry, serves the people, raises transparency, puts an end to corruption, then constructs the system of E-government in construction industry and realizes an electronic government administration.
