The Research On Development Strategy Of Tianjin Petrochemical Corporation

SINOPEC Tianjin Petrochemical Corporation is a large-scale state-owned petrochemical enterprise whose main business is manufacturing and selling Ethylene-Polyesters & their raw materials. Because of the rapidly expanded capacity inside of the ethylene-polyester industry and the severe competition, the deficit of enterprise is being aggravated. It is urgent to solve the problem of Tianjin Petrochemical Corporation's development strategy.Concerning the problem of development strategy, this article analyzes the outside environment factors, clears the current and future developing trend of the polyester industry, picks up the development opportunities and threats. On the other hand, the article also analyzes the inside environment, evaluates the resource and condition of the company, finds out strengths and weak-ness.Using Value chain Analysis, Comparatively Analysis, AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process), EFE and IFE modes, SWOT Matrix, the article analyzes quantitatively the opportunities and threats, advantages and inferiority of Tianjin Petrochemical Corp., and sets down several strategies for selection. In the evaluation of the strategies, QSPM(The Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) is used. The article concludes five development strategies in the end.In order to fulfill the strategies, a set of reform plan is put forward for Tianjin Petrochemical Corporation.
