An Investigation Of Constructing Enterprise Core Competence Using EIP Technology

Perfect information system is essential in formation of core competence. The rapid developing information technology has been importance support in constructing the enterprise core competence. The essence of the application of enterprise information is to develop it' s core competence .Several realistic issues need to be addressed in the application of enterprise information such as" information isolated island" , high risk, information overload, and information integration between enterprises. Meanwhile, the information system may not be applicable to the variation of enterprise strategy due to the lackness of flexibility and extensibility. Investigation of methodologies for E-business developing strategy has been an important subject in enterprise information management research.The present thesis demonstrates the derivation of EIP, its management ideas, its target problems and its application features. The effect of EIP on integration of enterprise information resource is analyzed. In construction of enterprise core competence utilizing EIP, several aspects are considered including the construction of strategic alliance system, the construction of enterprise knowledge systems, the construction of value system concentrate in the customers and the construction of E-business basic platform by exploiting integrated and extensible performance of EEP. The effects and advantages of EIP in the formation of core resource access and integration of enterprise competitive factors are also explored. The detail discussion are carried on the application of EIP in enterprise resource integration to improve the enterprise competence.EIP is a relatively new concept. The study of application based on EIP is still in process, partial results and conclusions are presented here. Further research work will be continued systematically in the future.
