Study On The Structural Adjustment Of Agricultural Industry In Bijie Region Of Guizhou Province

Agriculture is the basic of our national economy. The structural adjustment of agricultural is both an old problem and a new topic for our work in rural areas. Since it has entailed strong regional characteristics, the adjustment should be made according to the reality of each region so as to adapt to the need of the development of our economy.Basing on the basic theories on the industrial structure of agriculture, this present study takes Bijie region, a model region of national "development and aiding-the-poor and ecological construction" as research spot and makes some basic analysis of the present situations of the structural adjustment of agricultural industry in Bijie region while adopting many reseach methods such as statistical analysis and comparative analysis. The results show that the irrational aspects of the agricultural structure in Bijie are indicated as following:1) The agricultural resources are used irrationally and insufficiently.2) There is a low economic, social and ecological benefit for the agricultural structure in this region.3) The high-quality rate of produces in this region is low and unsuited to the need of the market.4) The degree of agricultural industrialization is low.The study also come up with the following three influential factors for the structural adjustment of agricultural industy in Bijie region: the inborn resources of this region, the structural changes of produces needed in local and external markets, and the changes of external environments for agricultural development. Basing on the comprehensive analysis of the above three influential factors adopting flexibility analysis, specialization rate analysis, challenge index analysis in foreign trade and correlation analysis method, etc. the present paper points out the direction for the structural adjustment of agricultural industry in Bijie region and makes some suggestions for it: 1) to strive processing industry of produces and follow the industrial operating of agriculture, 2) to establish and perfect concerning market agricultural system, 3) to strengthen the education on agricultural science and improve its level, 4) to establish the system for ensuring investment in industrial structure of agriculture, which can be adaptable to the realities of Bijie region, 5) to optimize the structure of agricultural production, 6) to enhance the protection and construction of ecological environment and ensure the sustainable development of agriculture.
