Study On City Management

City management is a pop topic of theory research & practice application of Chinese city development. Many city leaders have summaried their experience. Multiform discussion, communication & publication of academical thesis made the city economist consider it as the theory foreland. Some scholors even believe city management is enterprise management. So, It's necessary to clarify the facts and truth of city management and beneficial for development of theory of city management.For demonstrating my view, I made use of 3 links: sociology analysis & economics analysis, theory research & demonstration analysis, object analysis & corelation analysis. The examples of this paper are from newly practice by domestic cities, a part of which experienced by the author. Hereinafter, you can see the frame of my paper:Foreword and Chapter 1 is the introduction, which expatiated the history, theory development, and practice of city management; explained some concept; analysed the main matter of city management.Chapter 2 to chapter 3 tells of the main body & the object, new ideas of city management.Chapter 4 to chapter 7 tells of how to manage a city or city group with its or their own resource, such as land, feature, brand, and intensivism, etc.Chapter 8 makes some relation clear, for example, city management & city administration, city management & city asset management, city management & managing city, garden city & farm city.Chapter 9 is the conclusion, which sums up the merits and necessity of city management.
