With the incessant development of the communication technique, the gradual form of the telecommunication market opening structure, and the increase of the customer individuation need, the worldwide telecommunication competition becomes more intense. The virtual network operation not only becomes the popular trends of the international telecommunication trade, but also will further appear in the domestic telecommunication market along with the gradual opening of China and the entrance of WTO. The domestic network operator's operation mode that faces customers straightly will be changed.This thesis first introduces the concept and the feature of virtual network operation. After analyzing and studying the emergence background, development status, operation mode, experience, lesson and development trends of the virtual network operation, this thesis brings forward the essential qualification as a successful virtual network operator. At the same time, this thesis aims at the large virtual network operator and explores the operation mode of developing virtual network operation, the cooperate prospect with the basal network operator, the suggested cooperation mode as well as the settlement scheme in allusion to different operations, different areas, and different network operators. Except for the theory research, it also argues the economic rationality of the virtual network operation mode by some quantitative demonstration analysis.The research contents of this thesis can offer the necessary reference to those powerful coiporations when they enter the domestic telecommunication market and develop the virtual network operation.
