The Work Efficiency Investigation And Improvement Study On The Function Management Department In ZH

In the initial stage of China market economy, many companies developed quickly owing to their procucts with high competitive power in the market, the supports from governments and the bloom of domestic market. However, with the deepening of market competition, the company growth has relied heavily on the unique competences brought by high efficient management systems. Therefore, how to enhance management level, improve administration and operation efficiency and improve the capability of strategy implementation system, has become the problem that more and more high-tech enterprises managers care about and discuss in their manage experience. ZH Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "ZH"),as the largest listed telecommunications equipment provider on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange,is also in face of such problem. The paper according to the requirement of functional department efficiency - investigating project of ZH, using the scientific thought and methods of 6SIGMA in solving problem, assess the efficiency level of the ZH functional department and analyzes key factors affecting efficiency systemically through questionnaire investigation and interviews of employees and managers. It is found that the manager level,the position and function of department and the performance of employees may be the main factors,also with the operating level of process and information systems. Combined advanced theories with reality of ZH, accoring to the result of the investigation, the paper presents the proposal,then the executable plan after the authorization of high managers. The plan has been executed thoroughly and the efficiency problem has been solved ultimately. There are the keys and supporting systems for implementation, also the main impacts after practice. A point is emphasized here that the problems of efficiency management should be treated importantly. The managers should begin with themselves,careing about and executing in improving efficiency incessantly. Also, this paper will have positive impact on the popularization of management in efficiency investigation and increase from fuctional department to the whole company.The paper provides a strong theoretical and practical basis for the efficiency management of fuction department in high-tech companies.
