The scientific researchers in aerospace fields are experiencing serious job stress due to the importance and special features of their work. This reseach aims to find out the solutions of impoving job performance by analyzing the relationship between job stress and job performance, which will in turn improve organizational productivity.The study focuses on the scientific researchers in aerospace fields to examine the relationship between job stress and job performance.First of all, the levels of job stress and job performance are measured by questionnaires. Through factor analysis, a program of SPSS software, it is found that job stress originates from five aspects: "work environment", " role in the job", "organizational and office politics", "'compensation and promotion" and "work time". As far as the job performance is concerned, it is measured from two aspects: "task performance" and "contextual performance".Secondly, the relationship between the five factors of job stress and job performance, task performance and contextual performance are analyzed.Thirdly, the demographic varibles' effect on the relationship between job stress and job performance is studied.Study results are as below:1. Significant negative relationship between job stress and job performace is found; among the five factors of job stress, "role in the job" and " organizational and office politics" negatively relate with job performance.2. Among the five factors of job stress, "work environment", "role in the job" and " organizational and office politics" have significant correlation with task performance.3. The five factors of job stress don't show significant correlation with contextual performance.4. As to the demographic variables, "age", "service time" and "children numbers" have significant effect on the relationship between job stress and job performance.
