Job satisfaction research has been widely spread in foreign countries and it is become a popular subject. Especially in the study of the effectiveness of organizational management, it has become an important indicator. But in China, this study did start late, especially the research for grass-roots police that holds the largest number of research groups is almost empty. on the basis of the scale of the reference in the mature domestic satisfaction,the preparation of a job satisfaction questionnaire for police has been worked out through interviews and expert advice .Through the investigation into 236 police of Xiangtan City Public Security Bureau Police detachment,at the same time some individuals were conducted in-depth interviews from both theoretical and empirical work with the Police to investigate the factors affecting satisfaction with the work.Through the research, we found that there are eight factors which affecting grass-roots police job satisfaction include: the social recognition,the work returns,Personal development,the work itself and the working environment,work stress,interpersonal,unit management,leadership style,the overall satisfaction. Based on this foundation,this essay will introduce the demand level theory and two-factor theory,and finally Providing suggestions of improving Police work satisfaction by reforming and straightening out current Public traffic management system,enhancing the reward of grass-roots police,creating more Promotion opportunities and aspects and improving grass-roots police working conditions,reasonable allocation of Police force, constructing a new type of grass-roots police culture. The research result will provides a reference for the leaders of public security decision-making on how to manage group better.
