September 11 is a shifting point in American government's foreign policies. Afterwards, the anti-proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction became the policy focus. Under such background, the Iranian nuclear issue attracted more international society's attention. Iran's nuclear plan is considered by United States as an ambition to obtain nuclear weapons rather than an attempt to access to peaceful nuclear energy. Moreover, the American government has adopted a series of sanctions on Iran. These sanctions are in doubt would affected China's bilateral relations with Iran which is currently the largest trading partner for Iran. Therefore, it is necessary to think about China'policies in dealing with the changes brought by Iran's nuclear activities. The author analyzed the current policies of Iran and American, and reached the conclusion that without Iran's military intervention it will be a long process for the final settlement of Iranian nuclear issue. In the meantime, applying the strategic triangle theory, when Iran and United States maintained a negative relation, it is best for China to be a balancer in the triangle relations. Finally, combing with China's interests in Iran, the author suggested China to enhance its economic cooperation with Iran while spare no efforts to ensure that the situation would not go to an extreme that invoke a military strike on Iran.
