| The core competence theory has kept hold of high attention to the academia and business circles since it is crossed in our country. It becomes a bright lamp to guide the enterprisers manage companies for gaining the competition advantages. As the backbone of the national economy and the motivity power of the industrialization, manufacturing enterprises is less stronger in the aspect of core competence as a whole. Enterprisers have a crying need how to evaluate and foster core competence. Authoritative appraisal system and foster measures haven't formed because of its' short time at home and abroad. This paper is written under this environment.This paper introduces the problems of development course of manufacturing enterprises at present, and analyses the reasons that resulted in those problems, and points to that fostering core competence is the new direction in the future. This article also dwells on core development and summarizes six characteristics of core competence theory. A new meaning is endowed with core competence theory after analyzing and quoting the definitions of other peoples on it, which avoids analyzing enterprises and marketing only from the angle of development view inside enterprises and standing out its' ultimate outside expression and pointing out the closely relationship of company value and consumers interest. This viewpoint informs all this paper.
