This paper is supposed to apply the idea and method of appreciative education to the ideological and moral education of minors, aims to generalize the fundamental practical experience of appreciative education in the quality-oriented education, and improves the idea and method of appreciative education theoretically; Helps to promote the academic discussions of minors' ideological and moral education, which has the enlighten meaning on ideological and moral education; enriches and perfects the system of minors' ideological and moral education in practice, carries out and implements "CCPC & State Council's suggestions about strengthening and improving the construction of minor's ideology and moral" more completely.The research purpose of this paper is to strengthen and improve the minors' ideological and moral education instead of generally discuss the essence, characteristic, function, methods, tactics, from the view of ideological and moral pedagogy, discuss the possibility, necessity and feasibility of appreciative education and apply it to the field of minors' ideological and moral education.There are lots of methods adopted in this paper, including the document study, the combination of theory and practice, inductive and deductive method, methods of epistemology, psychology and pedagogy etc.This text consists of three parts:The first part of this thesis gives a brief introduction of the intension, essence, and characteristic in appreciative education, then lays particular emphasis on explaining the special intension, essence, characteristic and function of education in the field of ideological and moral education. The intension of appreciative education as follows: First, it is the positive, active, and encouraging evaluation in the course of ideological and moral education; second, it is the effective way of ideological and moral education. The function of appreciative education exist in enhancing the minors to form and develop the good ethical quality, motivating the enthusiasm of students, cultivating the creative, independent, endurable ability of them.The second part discusses the theoretical foundation of appreciative education in the ideological and moral education field, including epistemology, psychology, and pedagogy. Its theoretical foundation consists of Piaget's ethical theory of cognitive development and the KhalBurger's theory of moral development; its psychological basis as follows: Maslow's need level theory, Rosenthal's effect; its pedagogy basis cover the Tao Xingzhi's thoughts on life education, the theory of the relationship between moral subject and moral object and theory of the moral method.The third part discusses the appreciative education's implementation rules, methods and strategies on the minors' ideological and moral education theoretically. Its concrete principle consists of respect, trust, comprehension, tolerance, encouragement and reminding. The concrete methods are daily praise, appraise and award; The implementation tactics of appreciative education are as follows: hit the key point, grasp the art of appreciative education; direct them in different ways, foster their self-appreciation ability; form the situation of appreciating to fill with the atmosphere of relaxation with the parents' involvement. In the course of appreciating and educating, we should seek truth from facts and treat them in an all-round way; fully explore the child's " shining point ", as well as point out its " blemish in an otherwise perfect thing".
