A Study On The Relationship Between Job Burnout And Social Support And Coping Style Of Prison Policemen

This research uses the way of the questionnaire survey to investigate the situation of the 340 prison policemen's job burnout, social support and coping style in Guangzhou.The results show that: (1) The problem of emotional exhaustion in prison policemen is med-ium, that of depersonalization is slight, while they keep quite high personalaccomplishment. (2) The growth of job burnout in prison policemen, with their age and the police age increase prese-nts "two ends low center high" development tendency, the age between 41-50 years old and the police age between 16-20 years are proved to be most gravely affected by job burnout.(3) Gend-er, marriage, educational backgrounds, work post and ranks prominently exert influence on degr-ee of job burnout in multi-dimensionalities while what grades of prison policemen are in charge of do not.(4)The social support and coping style to the prison policemen are generally good.(5) Factors of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization are negatively related to the mature copi-ng style and social support lists but positively related to immature coping style.(6) The high sco-res group and low scores group of the society support in the job burnout and coping style are re-markable different. (7) The positive coping style should be helpful to alleviate the job burnout, the negative one should be able to aggravate it, but cannot affect the personal accomplishment. (8) The social support had buffer action between coping style and job burnout, it alleviated job burnout by cushion the negative coping style mostly.Suggest: (1) To clear about the post responsibility. (2) To carry on the post to take turns. (3) To transforms the idea, enhances the competitive ability. (4) To initiates the model of "the human nature" management. (5) To pay great attention to the work design. (6) To construct the police psychology support program. (7) To development the psychologically healthy education and carry on the psychology consultation. (8) To take the humanities concern, builds the jail culture.
