In pace with the reform in government apparatus, public servants system has been enforced for about one decade in China. Rationalized administrative system, standardized administrative behavior and high-qualified civil servants are all inevitably affected by the implementation of the public servants system. Compensation system for public servants is one of the most initial sections and it also directly guarantees for a virtuous circle in the administrative department.The development of the compensation system for public servants still falls behind the pace of our present social economy. There are some obstacles standing in the way of establishing a fair and effective difference inside the public service system, including outdated traditional modes of thought, underdeveloped economic situation and substandard legal system. And the existing compensation system for public servants,which is not obvious to find a balance among the other social department can hardly keep pace with the growth of the national economy. No doubt, it also diminishes the prompting effect of compensation and causes a series of social problems. The paper discusses the problems erotically around the focus on reform of the public servants compensation system and the promulgation and implementation of"Public Law". First of all, the paper defines the basic conception of compensation. Secondly, it gives a brief introduction to the characteristics and contents of the compensation system. Thirdly, the article entirely evaluates the existing compensation system and it also analyzes the main problems and related-causes. On the basis of those discussion and using the experience and trend of developed countries, author demonstrates the direction of reform in the short-term and long-term. Finally, the author puts forward a series of countermeasures to solve the present problems. Exactly to say, we should set up a standard, clear, scientific and legal public servants compensation system.
