| Democracy and the rule of law in rural areas is important component of the building of democracy and rule of law in our country. The peasants as the main building of the democratic rule of law, its consciousness of democracy and the rule of law direct impact on the process of democracy and rule of law in our country. Since reform and opening up, China's rural areas continued to deepen democracy and the rule of law, the villagers'self-governance continue to practice, so that the broad masses of peasants to be the sense of democracy and rule of law and growth of the Enlightenment, democracy and rule of law to the development of rural areas has laid a good foundation for social infrastructure and the masses. See the results in the same time, we should be keenly aware that as a result of China's special national conditions and historical factors, the peasants consciousness of democracy and rule of law is still in its relative backwardness. Economically backward rural markets, low-income peasants; rural education backward peasants of low cultural quality; flawed legal system in rural areas; rural feudal and backward thinking of the deep-rooted. These factors constrain the process of democracy and rule of law in rural areas and peasants, the general consciousness of democracy and the rule of law in the formation and development.Peasants through the analysis of the current sense of democracy and the rule of the reasons behind the existing research results at home and abroad on the basis of efforts to explore improving their consciousness of democracy and the rule of the responses: the development of rural market economy, developing the rural market economy; basic education in rural areas, in rural areas characteristics of education; to strengthen the rule of law publicity and education in rural areas, improve the legal system of village autonomy; to strengthen ideological and political education in rural areas, improving their quality of cadres and ideology.
