Accountability Mechanism Of Civil Servants In Our Country At This Phase

As a responsible control mechanism to civil servants, accountability mechanism of civil servants concerns not only the construction of a responsible government, but the credibility of the government. So it has increasingly become a hot topic of the public.The accountability mechanism should care about the following problems: how to improve the overall efficiency of the civil servants and how to make sure them take their own responsibility. Now, our country's accountability mechanism of civil servants is in the improving period. It has achievements, while exposes many problems.The process of investigating the moral responsibility by law is not perfect. The procedure is not complete enough. The existing mechanism is facing the risk of alienation. Based on these problems, this paper regards the accountability mechanism of civil servants should be a complete system. It should be perfected from the starting procedure, the investigation procedure, the enforcement procedure and the relief one. And the improvement of this mechanism depends on the perfection of the relating mechanism. This paper introduces the civil service system under the whole American political system. The construction of accountability mechanism would be a long process, but with strong mind, it will play more important part in our political process.
