Administrative And Law Enforcement Agencies To Put In Place ISO Quality Management System

ISO9000Q is scientific manager system which is accepted by international dept. Government departments in many countries have put in place and operated the system, which refines their administrative management and enables them to better perform their duties. In China, the transition from management-oriented government to service-oriented government is well under way, thus the imperative need for standardized management over administrative and law enforcement agencies. Setting up quality management system with a view to improving efficiency, reducing consumption, ensuring integrity and providing best service has become an emerging trend in management modernization of government agencies. As a result, the establishment of a quality management system which draws upon the widely used ISO90000 system while taking into account the special needs of administrative and law enforcement agencies is very conducive to addressing existing problems in their management.This paper starts with the status quo and existing problems in the management of administrative and law enforcement agencies in China, followed by an introduction to the ISO9000 system. It then explores the feasibility and necessity for administrative and law enforcement agencies to put in place ISO quality management system and how to tailor it to their own needs with a case study of the Brigade of Shanghai Quality and Technical Supervision under the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision (SMBQTS).
