Lots of researches about competency not only have been carried out abroad but also began in 1980s in China. But the former researches didn't establish contact with job performance. To solve the problem,this paper builds a conceptual model of Civil Servants' competency related to job performance in China.On the basis of former researches,two assumptions are set. The dimensions of Civil Servants' competency and job performance are both formed through analysis based on questionnaire. Correlation analysis and regression analysis are conducted to identify the prediction of Civil Servants' competency to job performance.The results show that Civil Servants' competency and job performance are significantly correlated in these dimensions,explaining close relation between them. And Civil Servants' competency have significantly influence on job performance at different levels,explaining that improvement of Civil Servants' competency can lead to improvement of job performance. Through research of relationship between Civil Servants' competency and job performance, this paper will enrich knowledge of factors in job performance.
