Public relations research on government has become more and more important in modern society, and the research on government crisis, as an important part, has great meaning in social practice.Currently, public relations research in China is still focused on the whole study of public relations, however, the author notice the public relations research on Chinese government crisis. The author collected the books and the papers published during 2000-2009, and summarize the development of the research in these years. In this paper, the books the author chose are limited between 2000 and 2009, while the papers are limited in PR World, International Public Relations--these two professional magazines, besides, the papers also include Journalism and Communication Research, Modern Media, International Media, News University, Modern Communication and Journal of Journalism and Communication which is from the copies of Chinese People's University.Theoretical research always comes from practice; social crisis events of each period always affect the object of concern to scholars. Through the systematically collection, and the content and quantitative analysis of the papers and books, the author finally summed up the development trend in this decade, and judge the crisis the government face to.In this paper, the author will sum up the success and development in the public relations research of government crisis, and find out the problem and shortcomings during this process. In the end, the reasonable opinions and suggestions will be proposed. The aim of the papers is to promote the study of researches; especially the research of government crisis, the author is looking forward to provide the specific guidance in the theory in future.
