With the reform of the new curriculum, the teaching in common high school calls for new standards of classroom teaching evaluation. The scientific and effective classroom teaching evaluation plays an important role in boosting the development of students and teachers. Classroom teaching evaluation is critical for guiding, diagnosing, adjusting, identifying, and promoting the teaching activities. It also has direct influence on the improvement of the teaching quality. With the reform of the new curriculum, all the educational researchers and educational practitioners are concern on the development of the current common high school classroom teaching evaluation system, the practical problems of the implementation of the system, as well as whether the reform of the system meets the requires of the new curriculum. In this study, by investigating and interviewing the teachers and students who take part in the implementation of common high school new curriculum, the problems and the developments of the classroom teaching evaluation in the context of new curriculum are exposed. Based on these observations, I further analyze the reasons and finally give some suggestions about improving the implementation of the common high school classroom teaching evaluation.In the preface section, the background information of this research is given based on the available literatures and then the significance and purpose of this study are discussed. A brief description of this research is given in this section.The first section "the survey of the common high school classroom teaching evaluation in the context of new curriculum" introduces the theoretical foundation of the common high school classroom teaching evaluation in the context of new curriculum, including the characteristic, function and aim of classroom teaching evaluation.The section "empirical research of the common high school classroom teaching evaluation in the context of new curriculum" is the main part of this study. In this section, firstly the implementation of the current common high school classroom teaching evaluation is investigated. The achievemant and evolution of the teaching evaluation in the context of new curriculum are explored. The purpose of this study is to find the disadvantages of the current teaching evaluation regarding the purpose, content, target, standard etc. Finally, some disadvantages are discovered, such as the purpose of the classroom teaching evaluation heavily depends on the utility; the content of the evaluation is unilateral; the evaluation subject is single; the evaluation is not scientific; the evaluation method ignore the relationship between the qualitative evaluation and the quantitative evaluation. Secondly, the reason of these problems are analyzed, including the delay of classroom teaching evaluation, restriction of the traditional classroom teaching evaluation, the measure of the classroom teaching evaluation and the influence of the college entrance examination.The fourth section "strategy for the accelerating the implementation of common high school classroom teaching evaluation in the context of new curriculum" discusses the implementation of teaching evaluation based on the theoretical level and operating level, respectively. The theoretical level includes studying the concept of the reform of the new curriculum, changing the idea of evaluation, constructing diversity classroom evaluation system. The operating level includes constructing the cultural atmosphere which is beneficial to the implementation of classroom teaching evaluation, strengthening the teacher theoretical training and the training for the method of classroom teaching evaluation, perfecting the guarantee mechanism for the implementation of classroom teaching evaluation.
