By the end of 2008, the number of independent higher vocational colleges has reach 1500 which makes up more than 50 percent of the total number of institutions of higher education. The number of students in higher vocational colleges has make up more than 70 percent of total number of students of the whole higher education. As a vital part of higher education, higher vocational colleges are developing in a rapid and healthy way.Compared with regular institutions of higher education, higher vocational colleges lag behind not only in history and teaching staff but also in management and equipment. Moreover, the quality of students is comparatively lower. Therefore, there are more difficulties for higher vocational colleges to face. The integration of educational channels is a beneficial way to carry out ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges. It can integrate social educational resources by constructing three-dimensional education model. The paper makes a discussion on the integration of educational channels in five parts.In the first part, relative definitions are given. The paper analyzes the characteristics of higher vocational education and then discusses the fundamentals to carry out the integration of educational channels.In the second part, Our higher vocational education and the status of the facing problems and challenges.In the third part, Higher vocational students ideological and political education present situation.In the fourth part,Higher vocational college students' education way the significance and principles of integration.In the fifth part, the integration of educational channels in higher vocational colleges is discussed. Innovative methods and channels are applied to improve the efficiency, pertinence and effect of ideological and political education. We should adhere to the principles of complementary advantages, planned coordination, full utilization and low-cost sustainable operation. The discussion on the integration of educational channels is as follows.First, integrate campus culture with community culture. Community is wonderful place for higher vocational education students to develop their skills. It is better to cultivate college students'moral cognition, emotion, volition and behavior in the interaction between school and community. On the one hand, community members and organization should support school to carry out effective educational objective; on the other hand, schools should take an active part in the construction of community.Second, integrate schools with enterprises. While integrating the educational resources of schools and enterprises, schools should pay attention to cultivate enterprise spirit, enterprise system culture, innovative idea and team spirit.Third, integrate schools with families. Two-way exchange mechanism should be formed through the construction of school-family exchange platform. The platform mainly consists of exchange channels and system. Exchange channels include network exchange, telephone exchange, writing communication, face-to-face communication and so on. Network exchange requires relevant software to ensure smooth communication between school and families.Fourth,integrate network with traditional educational channels. With the construction of network platform, digital evaluation of college students'education can be realized. Furthermore, through the innovative management of evaluation information, educational subject and object can communicate with each other.The integration of educational channels is a novel exploration on educational model in higher vocational education. As a complicated social engineering, it requires joint efforts and support from the whole society.
