With the development of information economy, organization method of the industry economy is being replaced by a new one, which means the management concept needs to be reproved, also in the school. In order to realize the new requirements from the information economy, and highlight the developing view of "students-oriented", we must enforce grade group management, and take student's general development as essential basic of all teaching.This paper explained the meaning of enforcing grade group management in junior high school from four aspects, how to improve students'general development, how to advance their quality, how to improve teaching pertinence and how to straighten school management. We carried out several questionnaire and case study between the school which has enforced grade group management and the school which has not. The research shows that enforced grade group management is benefit to improve students'quality and general development and to improve teaching pertinence and straighten school management. But we also find some problem in our research, such as function illegibility of the grade group, loose coordinate with other teams in the school and certain conflict with school leading management etc.Based on the problems discovered, we bring forward what needs to be discussed further more. First, function and responsibility of grade group leader, second, relationship between grade group and teaching and researching group, third, relationship between grade group and school leader.
