Study On The Impact Of Family Environment And Work Values On The Career Decision Making Self-efficacy Of College Students

With the expand enrollment of university and the impact of the financial crisis, the employment problem of academician has become a major social concern in recent years. Career Decision Making Self-efficacy, one of the main factors affecting the Graduate employment, is more and more emphasized by the profession. This research focus mainly on investing a utility models how family Environment and Work Values affect the Career Decision Making Self-efficacy of University Students. Adopting Career Decision Making Self-efficacy Sale of university students (SDMSE), Work Values Questionnaire and Family Environment (FES) as tools, taking 400 students selected from four universities in Nanchang, then analyze the results by using SPSS 16.0 and LISREL8.70 software. A structural model to judge how Family Environment and Work Values affect the Career Decision Making Self-efficacy of University Students is proposed. LISREL8.70 software is used to fit and test data, and the fitting results are satisfied. The result shows that:(1) The career decision-making self-efficacy of college students shows distinct differences in gender and grade. Results Scores of career decision-making self-efficacy is significantly higher in male students. The boys'goal-setting and problem-solving scores are higher than that of girls. As for the grade, senior students show more confidences in self-evaluation than sophomore students. The goal-setting capacity of fresh postgraduate students is significantly higher than senior students. The career decision-making self-efficacy shows non-distinct differences in major.(2) There are great significant correlations between the three of them. College students'Family Environment and Work Values can significantly predict their Career Decision-Making Self-efficacy, and Work Values is an intermediary variable between Family Environment and Career Decision-Making Self-efficacy.Finally, we propose some suggestions on three angels in order to improve the college students'Career Decision-Making Self-efficacy.
