One of the education goals of the Pre-school stage is to develop children's active and healthy emotion , create theirs complete personalities. So parents and pre-school are pay attention to children's emotional education . There are many ways to educate children's emotions , But the picture books are better . Children like reading picture books, and picture books is one of the largest children books of pre-school children contact with. But the studies about using picture books as a way for young children's emotional education is less in our State and abroad.This study chose sixteen picture books as emotional education materials, with the methods of experiment and case study, and chose two middle classes in a nursery school as experiment class and comparative class in Tongxu country,Kaifeng City in Henan Province to conducted the experiment for six weeks. the results of the study indicated that: frist: the experiment class children'emotional scores were improved to various degree after the course, while the children's emotional scores of the comparative class were not improved significantly. Second: the scores between experiment class and comparative class had significant difference .third: After the experiment nearly ninty-five percents children's total score were improved ,and in every score there are nearly seventy-five percents children's were improved. Fourth:The experimental class's tracking test scores were high than the experiment class's scores after the test, but the differences were not significantly.The study also explored the reasons why children's emotional scores were improved: frist,when children read the picture books which including Beautiful emotions can making their mind peace. second,parents read picture books for children can adjust their emotions. third, Reading picture books for young children can help them format correct emotion judgements and promote their emotion developde. forth, reading picture books can meet children's playing psychology and provide play materals for them and increased positive emotional exchanges between them. Finally, Based on these findings the researcher proposed the corresponding education suggestions. To kindergarten: choose excellent picture books and create good reading environment for children and provide the necessary modern teaching facility for them.To preschool teachers: guide the children when reading books with them and pay attention to the children's emotional . To the parents: pay attention to the parent-child reading and correct theirs reading purpose when read with theirs children.
