The environment of vocational colleges in the new period has undergone more tremendous changes, and competition between vocational colleges becomes more intense. It plays a decisive role in accelerating the realization of the strategic goal of China's modernization to vigorously develop vocational education, and to give full play to higher vocational education in the scientific and technological progress, economic development and improve the national quality. The core of management of vocational colleges is human resource management. The development of vocational colleges must be armed by the development of human resources; moreover the central task of human resource management is human resources motivation. To strengthen the construction of connotation of higher vocational colleges, especially the reform of internal management system, to fully exploit human resources of vocational schools—the potentials of the teachers, to achieve healthy, rapid and sustainable development of vocational colleges are major issues that vocational colleges' administrators and theoreticians face.How to effectively motivate human capital of vocational colleges and create an environment to fully stimulate their creativity is one of the keys to enable the schools with limited resources to achieve maximum effect and maintain vitality. To this end, this paper conducted a study on the subject of to efficiently motivate teachers in higher vocational colleges.The main study contents of this paper:The first part of the paper describes the background and significance of the study, and gives a brief introduction to the researches made at home and abroad about human capital theory and motivation theory, and proposes research methods and research ideas.The second part of the paper introduces the theoretical basis of the human capital motivation of vocational colleges-human capital theory and motivation theory.The third part of the paper focuses on analyzing the formation of human capital in vocational colleges from the angles of human capital connotation, characteristics and needs.The fourth part of the paper describes the achievements and problems that China's vocational colleges in the human capital development and utilization, and gives a detailed analysis of the specific reasons for the status quo.The fifth part of the paper puts forward the principles and methods to build up dual motivation mechanism of China's vocational colleges.The sixth part of the paper, with a specific case of vocational colleges, applies the above theory into practice and establishes the motivation mechanism of the vocational college to put forward the corresponding measures.The creations of this paper:Creation one:in material motivation mode, apply the motivation measures used in enterprises in vocational colleges and propose special fund plan and self-service farewell plan combining the characteristics of vocational colleges and the need for long-term development.Creation two:in spiritual motivation mode, explore the employment system which advances with the times----full employment and abandon the old system which combines employing and practising. In this way, solid foundation may be laid to create a reasonable talent-employing mechanism and more opportunities can be provided to capable human capital.
