The higher vocational schools have taken up the "big half" in Higher Education in China and have become an important part of the higher education. Currently,the innovation education that is to cultivate the students'innovative spirit and self-learning ability calls upon a series of innovation and reform on the teaching idea ,administrative system,running mechanism,teaching method,etc. It also determines the necessary reform on the talents training models in order to meet the needs of cultivating the creative talents.As a fundamental activity and central segment of the higher vocational school's adminstration, the teaching management plays an important role in school running.It assures the smooth going of the teaching activities and the quality of the teaching. By now it stays in a gradually improving stage.This study firstly analyzes the SWOT of the higher Vocational school detailly,and summarizes the current situation of the teaching administraion reform in the higher vocational schools. Then puts forward the necessity of the reform of the higher vocational school teaching administration ,and puts forward the contents of the reform ,such as the innovation of the administrator , the innovation of the teaching management mechanism , the innovation of the teaching model, and the innovation of the teaching method.Finally , it discusses the idea of innovation and reform of the teaching administration on the basis of analysis of the case of seven years'running of Suzhou Institute of Industrial Technology. This study focuses on the the analysis of the current situation, focuses on the domestic study,focuses on the study of the current situation transformation , focuses on the higher vocational school's level.It focuses on the case study as well, espacially the case of Suzhou Institute of Industrial TechnolotySome researcher has explained the concrete issues from the micro or operational levels. The topic combining theory with practice analyzes the management of vocational college teaching completely, discusses the innovative methods of teaching management preliminary. The innovative points in this paper are: First, the objective SWOT analysis of higher vocational colleges in a practitioner's personal feelings, which revealed the status of teaching management. Second, it seizes the main aspects of teaching management innovation and proposes the measures of strengthening and improving the vocational colleges teaching management.
