Cooperation should be strengthened between home and school, which has become animportant component of school reform, as well as a hot topic in educational studiesnowadays. Based on studies about home-school cooperation, and theories on family andschool education, this paper investigates by means of questionnaires and explores thecurrent situation of home-school cooperation in Suzhou Secondary schools, and providesseveral suggestions at the end.As a result of statistics, current situation of home-school cooperation is characterizedby the following points: The parents can not get all the information of their children. Theparents are in the negative position. The cooperation is in a poor level. The communicationbetween parents and teachers is lack of efficiency.As such, in order to build up close cooperation between home and school, the paperprovides following suggestions: Firstly, the government should make laws about the rightsand responsibilities in home-school cooperation. Secondly, we should let more and morepeople know the theories of home-school cooperation. Thirdly, we should make morechances to increase the communication between parents and teachers.
