Track and Field has always been called the mother of sports, which is the first event to be carried out. It is also an indispensable part of community sports and school physical education; it is of great significance to strengthen the students'physique, raise lifelong physical culture and all-people body-building movement. The human civilization can not develop without education. Economic society's development also unceasingly requests the education reform to adapt to society's development. The change of education was manifested in the change of teaching materials on great degree. After the founding of the nation, The evolution of track and Field Text books(Compulsory) for undergraduates Specialized in physical education after the Liberation of chinaIn December, 1949, the original Ministry of Education held the first national conference on education , in the first national educational conference,the idea that education should serve the national construction was proposed; in 2004, the Ministry of Education promulgated"the University and College Physical Education of various main Curriculum Teaching Instruction". In the Instruction, to train primary and secondary school physical education teachers as the main objective of the physical track and field courses also significantly changed. The teaching materials of track and field, a vector for the educational content, are also in constant self-adjustment and optimization to meet the needs of society.Whether the university track and field teaching material's compilation does meet the social development requirement is important to raise high-quality, capable and innovative teachers in the area of rack and field. In 1961, the People's Sports Publishing House published the first lecture of the Institute of Physical Education course,"athletics"(two volumes), to 2008 edition of the Institute's teaching,"Track and Field Guide"; from the enacting of"Program for Physical Education"(draft) issued by the original Ministry of Education in 1980, the teaching material of"Track and field"published by Higher Education Press in 1987, to the May 2009, the issue of general national planning of higher education teaching materials. After decades of development and changes, a number of publishing houses have published dozens of versions of the track and field materialsThen, did the content displayed in these teaching materials change regularly? Are there any new contents presented? Which contents were reduced or deleted? Regarding this, the author chose 10 kinds of editions of teaching materials in"Track and Field"published by the Higher Education Publishing House and the People's Sports Publishing House to carry on the analysis. Through analysis, comparison and researches, rationalization reform suggestions were proposed to aid the development of the track and field teaching materials, so that teaching is more close to reality, more full of nature, and can help training high-quality, innovative capable teachers. The result indicated that along with the foundation sports education curriculum reform's deepening, various editions teaching material could conform to the society for athletic talent's request, in the structure, along with international communication's unceasing enhancement, the track and field teaching material is also in unceasing carried on the renewal and the change, the teaching material content capacity and the coverage also increases, the basic theory knowledge and the foundation technology and so on have also changed in the teaching method. More emphasis was put on the cultivation of various basic abilities to show their different characteristics. In sports teaching technology choice, in addition to some more difficult items, new fitness programs as the fitness walking, aerobic running, fitness jumping and throwing are taken as an important part of practical fitness, which provided effective content for the school to develop and popularize track and field.In this study, the research methods as literature, expert interviews, content analysis,comparative analysis and so on were used. Two different editions of University Sports published in two Publishing Houses were analyzed in structure, content, presentation the development and changes in form. The author hopes providing some inspiration for our development of track and field education reform.
