To the teaching of a concrete prose,it is the first question to decide "what to teach".In all the contents of prose teaching.the language features is the distinguishing quality different from some others, the teaching of language features is the key to catch on anything else about the prose, and it is the part of the contests that incarnate "what is the Chinese"This article has an adequate analysis about the important value of the language features teaching in modern prose, and there is a lot of despise and random in language features teaching. And this article intended to base on high school teaching material nowadays(shanghai publication),apply the Module Theory to the teaching about language features of modern prose, intend to break through the traditional teaching type of single-article,consider the entirely modern prose an a unity, then sort out three modules based on article function----narrative prose, sentimental prose. argument prose,consider each module as a independent unity, to find out the regular pattern of language features, and to think over "what to teach", "how to teach" and "which article is the typical case"1 regard the Information Handle Memory of Robert Mills Gagne as the memory guidance, try to catch the intention of the teaching material,find definite sorts of modern prose, analysis the student's situation and gradation, make a study of many documents of the language features'teaching.solve the question that each module prose suit each grade.Then the teaching will have a sequence of the teaching contents and the rate of progress.
