The Research On Entrance Education Of Senior One Students In Boarding Senior High School

This thesis is aimed at looking at a programme concerning entrance education which can meet the needs of the senior one students in an ordinary boarding school. At the same time, this thesis is to better the activities concerning the programme on entrance education of the senior one students based on the research done on the existing problems happening when students entering XS senior high school for the very first time.In the first place, this research has a solid theoretic foundation due to analyzing many different documents, straightening some relevant concepts and summarizing some related research findings. In the second place, the commonly existing problems in terms of the entrance education for senior one students are clarified and stated clearly with the help of the interviewing method as well as the questionnaire survey. Some problems can be listed as follows:the imperfection of the entrance education system, the obsolescence of the entrance education contents, the rigidity of the entrance education forms, the weakness of the entrance education continuity which in turn leads to little or no effect on students.Finally, proposals on the improvement of the contents and forms of the entrance education are put forward in the thesis grounded on the trials in XS Senior High School. It is required that all forms of entrance education should be employed so as to ensure the complete implementation of the contents. For instance, lectures, class meetings and social practice are all efficient ways for the school to centralize human resources and arrange in an overall manner. What's more, courses or team work can enhance the efficient continuity of the entrance education.Meanwhile, this thesis recommends that awareness of the importance of the entrance education should be raised and that the construction of certain mechanism should be strengthened. It is also suggested that in order to better the entrance education, the partnership between school and parents be reinforced. It is important that when constructing the entrance education system, efforts should be made to vary the forms and the methods and that special attention should be given to the individuals to solve problems immediately.
