In "The Criteria for Physics Curricula" issued in 2003, emotions, attitudes and values are taken as one of the most important kernel objectives, ranking the same level as knowledge and ability, process and methods, which make up the 3-dimensional teaching objectives.the 3-dimensional teaching objectives was put forward in "The Criteria for Physics Curricula" to embody the consolidation of cognition and emotion in physics teaching as well as to illustrate the function of the objective of emotions, attitudes, and values. However, in practical teaching, owing to the notion from traditional teaching and the impact from examination-oriented education system, in addition to the complexity in cultivating the emotion in physics, more much can be found on the research of cultivating the emotion in physics, while much can be seen about its significance. As for how to make use of the emotional elements in the teaching materials, and how to practice emotional education in a tactful way, we are still fumbling for an answer in the dim light. We have a lot waiting to be discussed.The present article has made some arrangements of the present educational documentation from home and abroad on emotional cultivation, thus giving the definition of the meaning of emotional cultivation in physics. The researcher has studied the present situation in Wenzhou on the dimension of emotions, attitudes and values in physics lessons by way of interviews, attending lectures and questionnaires; also the researcher has analyzed all factors concerning emotional cultivation. The author has analyzed the theory, connotation, levels of development in emotional cultivation; and has approached the emotional elements in the physics teaching materials, explored the strategy of cultivating emotional attitudes in high school physics teaching. The author presents some practical teaching cases illustrating the idea so as to help teachers work effectively in this field.
