Life education is the development trend of education in the world today, the reform, development, improvement and innovation of the self-taught examination system must conform to the trend of lifelong education.This paper uses the principle of lifelong education and education innovation theory to carry out special research on the innovation of the self-taught examination in the perspective of lifelong education, and to further enrich our self-taught examination system of content from theory, to further explore the current system of innovation and upgrading our self-taught examination response measures from practice, it has important theoretical value and practical significance.This paper firstly outlines the basic concept of lifelong education and defines the concept of the innovation of the self-taught examination system, then it adopts the method of empirical analysis to study the state of the innovation of the self-taught examination system in the perspective of lifelong education in the three areas, namely the scale of the self-taught examination, the learners of the self-taught examination and the social assistance of the self-taught examination. And then on the basis of the above analysis, the paper discusses the three issues as follows:the falling enrollment of academic self-taught examination education, the employment difficulties of its graduates and the lag in the social assistance of the self-taught examination, it also analyzes the causes of the three issues. Finally it explores the countermeasures and recommendations of the innovation of the self-taught examination system, and enhance its strategic significance in the building of a learning society in the perspective of lifelong education from the three aspects, that is, improving the legal system for self-taught examination system, innovating the ways of the self-taught learning outcome evaluation and innovating the management system of the self-taught examination.
