Aesthetic education is one of the most important components in quality education and it's no doubt that biology teaching is one of the ways to carry out aesthetic education. However, aesthetic education was not paid enough attention to because of the influence of ideas about examination-oriented education and traditional education. Aimed at the above questions, the thesis believed that teachers should make the best use of all conditions and explore aesthetic factors in the biological teaching materials. Different kinds of teaching patterns and methods should be adopted to lead students appreciate, taste and create beauty. Therefore, students'aesthetic attainment would be improved and students'perfect personality would be developed.In Chapter 1, the understanding of aesthetic education was introduced. In Chapter 2, the necessity and feasibility of aesthetic education in biology teaching at junior high school was demonstrated. Aesthetic factors that existed in biology teaching were elaborated in Chapter 3. In Chapter 4, how to use aesthetic factors in biology teaching was explored from four aspects, including classroom teaching, experiment teaching, outdoor activities and teachers'quality. It was aimed to give some guidance and attract more teachers to take part in the discussion, which would offer a broader perspective for giving aesthetic education in biology teaching at junior high school.
