Basic education is the basis of the educational mansion of a nation. The hope of the basic education lies in educational reform, which is also a sustainable motivation for the constant development of the basic education. The purpose of the educational reform is to change the method of teaching and learning, during which we must rely on two factors: one is the fast-developing information technology; the other one is proper educational ideas which must be accordant with the educational rules and the rules of the development of students. Today many countries around the world consider the changing of teaching and learning as the prime purposes and rely on new information technology and educational ideas during the process of educational reform. The topic–"the research and application of the cooperative learning through the Internet"was being carried out under such circumstances.The result of the topic mainly comes from the writer's daily teaching experiences at school, in addition to some academic achievements about"cooperative learning"and"the applications of information technology in education"from both home and abroad. The main purpose of this topic is to help realize the fundamental reform of the methods of teaching and learning about the IT subject at senior high school and to promote highly effective teaching and learning at senior high school by fully utilizing the latest ideas of"cooperative learning"and"the applications of information technology in education".This article mainly talks about the necessity, content, basic elements and qualifications, principles of design, strategies and methods, forms of organization, procedures of implementation, ways of management and evaluation, etc. of the"cooperative learning through the Internet".This topic is based on the new educational theories, the application of the information technology in education and the research achievements of the teaching practice. The research theories consist of Constructivism cognitive Theory, Social Interdependence Theory, Choice theory (control Theory), classroom instructional technology Theory, Social cohesiveness, and cognitive elaboration theory. The research achievements of the teaching practice include the author's own teaching experiments and experience.Educational Literature Research method, Educational Experiment method, Observational method, and Comparative Method are mainly adopted in this article.The significance of this topic is the integration of the latest information technology, the educational ideas and the conventional methods of cooperative learning, the result of which is a new teaching method–"cooperative learning through the Internet". This teaching method has led to the complete change of teaching and learning, and it is also helpful for the students to improve their sense of cooperation in studies, the ability to communicate, the ability of organization and the ability of adaptability, so as to help to realize the basic transition of the teaching methods and the students'learning approach. Also this paper explores the positive significance of cooperative learning through the Internet in the current curriculum, and for others it provides reference and the model for the study, so as to promote teaching reform.Because of the limit of the knowledge and experience, the writer sincerely expects your advice on this topic and hopes more and more people would like to take part in this topic discussion in future.
