The growing number of urban migrant population promotes the economic and social development of urban city, however, it also poses a challenge to basic education. Education of children of migrant workers has become a hot social issue. The state has adopted a series of measures to provide equal education opportunities to children of migrant workers. However, informationization of the society must promote the informationization of education. In the information age, information literacy has become an important part of cultural quality of every citizen. Countries and regions are concerned about the cultivation of information literacy. Information literacy is increasingly aroused broad attention of various circles of society, and is gradually added to the goals of education from primary school to university, and has become an important indicator of the talent general quality evaluation system. It becomes more and more urgent to improve information literacy of children of migrant workers, and to reduce the information literacy gap between them and local students, and to enable them to learn better in the premise of arming with higher information literacy.Found out that gap between the children of migrant workers and local students, this study tries to explain the main reasons for low literacy, by analyzing the survey results of questionaires and face-to-face interviews of teachers and parents. The study tries to improve the information literacy of children of migrant workers mainly through targeted information technology instruction. According to situation of the internship school, author adopts the hierarchical cooperative teaching model, and applies it in teaching practice. Main content includes:First, though questionnaire and interviews, surveyed three classes of preparation grade students to identify the gap between children of migrant workers and local students of information literacy, and analyses the reassons. Second, proposes hierarchical cooperative teaching model, and analyses in detail how to apply all the elements of this model in classroom, and gives the teaching practice examples. Finally, the study analyses the problems in practice and puts forwards.
