With the Geographic elective course being an important part of high school geographic system after the new course reform, conbination between elective course and compulsory course is greatly needed and plays a significant role in the process of teaching. Based on the questionnaire results of high school geographic elective course, the thesis analyzes the existing problems and the reasons of teaching joint between the elective course and compulsory course. Taking elective course 4 "Rural and Urban Planning" (PEPH) for example, it analyzes the knowledge joining points between high school geographic elective course and compulsory course. Besides, the thesis constructs a "quaternity" model on how to effectively implement the teaching joint. Finally, taking "Rural and Urban Planning" as an example, it conducts case deduction of teaching joint.This research mainly includes the following parts:Partl:Discussing the research background, significance, related concept, research status and research guideline.Part2:Part two is the theoretical presentation of the overall research. It expounds the theoretical basis and practical basis.Part3:By investigating the present situation of high school geographic elective course, it finds out the problems and reasons of teaching joint between the elective course and compulsory course.Part4:This part elaborates the countermeasures of teaching joint between the high school geographic elective course and compulsory course. First of all, it discusses the five principles of teaching joint. Secondly, it expounds the conducting way of teaching joint, and then it explains the relationship between elective course and compulsory course. Finally it takes "Rural and Urban Planning" as an example, constructing a "quaternity" model of countermeasures.Part5:Case deduction. Taking related content of "Rural and Urban Planning" as example, it conducts instructional design.Part6:Summarizing the research achievements, the problems of existence and research prospects.
