Chinese as a basic subject in primary school makes great contributions to the development of students. However, due to the particularity of Chinese language, there are usually two questions exist in teaching progress. One question is that teachers in primary schools usually make a bias understanding on process and principle of Chinese teaching. It mainly performances at the narrow understanding or the widen understanding on it. Narrow understanding of it is that to make the moral education influence on the students by teaching. Widen understanding of it is to make Chinese teaching as a subject to involve all the content and lost the authenticity of Chinese language.The other question is that some teachers usually see it as an appendix and separate it from the teaching progress. It is sometimes "pluged" into or hard "sticked" to the process of Chinese teaching progress instead of explored and achieved in the process. It doesn't grasp the course and depth of the process and principle of Chinese teaching.This study focuses on illustrating how to attention, understand and adhere to the process and principle during the course of design and implementation in Chinese classes. What the meaning of "Tao" here is not only the procedure of achievement in cultivation in the Chinese classes but also the principles and logics in this process.In the first chapter, I illustrate such problems above and analyzed it from four main reasons:historical reasons, imperfect of self-development of modern Chinese subject, Chinese subject teachers and language examinations and assessments.Starting from the problems above, in the second chapter my main focus is on the analysis and interpretation the unique Chinese subject have in primary education. It mainly includes cultivating students'moral character, intelligence, aesthetic and some soft foundations and so on. Besides, I also make a comprehensive and detailed illustration of every educational function that play role in the Chinese teaching process.After clarifying the educational function of the Chinese teaching, the third chapter analyzes the transformation by the basic theory of education. This transformation consists of three processes:the process of public knowledge into personal knowledge; the process of generate personal knowledge into wisdom; the transformation of attitudes and values in the process of knowledge and wisdom achievement.How to implement these educational functions is one of the most important problems to be solved in this paper. In the fourth chapter, I put forward some teaching strategies to achieve the process and principle of Chinese teaching. These strategies include:student-centered and learning-centered teaching concept; design teaching programs based on two "interpretation"; use of these strategies rationally in the process of teaching.
