Generative resources which reflect the active position of students during the teaching process conform to the call of new era on education reform that paying more attention to human's initiative and the nature of life, becoming more and more concerned subject by researchers. This paper launches on English classroom teaching, studies issues that how generative resources take place, how English teacher to catch and respond to the resources. Generative resources refer to all kinds of valuable teaching information and factors initiated by the interaction between teacher and student(s), student(s) and student(s), students and learning materials, generating in the different stages of classroom teaching, which can enrich students'learning and living experience, help students grow up.To begin with, this paper researches into the theoretical basis of generative resources in English classroom teaching from the perspective of linguistics and pedagogy, raises the new problems and contradiction in current English classroom teaching. After that, following the basic logic from the generation of resources, to the caught of resources, and then the response to generative resources, the main contents are presented. In order to analyze the generation process of the generative resources, this paper at the core of interaction, discusses basic factors such as English teacher, students, teaching process, specialties of English subject that affect the generative resources in English classroom teaching, concluding fours typical generative resources, that is resources form inaccurate expression, resources form differences, resources from students' feeling, resources from accident. When refer to the issue of how to catch generative resources, this paper comes up with basic requirements to teachers, basic approaches to catch resources and criteria to determine whether the resources is available for the class. In the section of responding to generative resources, the main discussion is on the opportunity to respond resources, the attitude and strategies for teacher to respond resources. At last, a typical and detailed case on English classroom teaching is included to illustrate that during the process how the generative resources generate, how these resources are caught and taken into practice.When it comes to research methods, this paper is mainly based on the literature method, observational method and the analysis of cases. Concretely, the firsthand research material is obtained through the collection of teachers'pedagogical reflection, the researcher's observation in classrooms, and observation of the teaching videos. Based on which, the activities in the teaching process as well as the teachers and students'saying is analyzed. And then the general rules on generative resources in English classroom teaching are concluded.
