With the strong support of Chinese Government, Confucius Institute has been built up all over the five continents, and begun to become an international cultural Exchange organization with wide international influence.Based on in depth understanding about Confucius Institute's characteristics and development, this thesis is to study the course setting for the martial arts. By analyzing the current situation of Wushu class, and exploring the necessity of martial arts class, the author tries to explore the best way to set the course outline and teaching content, in order to achieve the purpose of carrying forward the martial arts. This article has used expert interview method, field survey method, and comparative analysis method to get some meaningful results as follows:1. Martial arts class is one of the most popular foreign students Chinese culture classes among the activities of the Confucius Institute.2. Nearly one-third of Confucius institutes have carried out a martial arts class.3. Confucius Institute Headquarters and Songshan Shaolin Wushu schools joint summer camp has become one of the profit projects.4. Norway Bergen University and Beijing Sport University joint martial arts classroom has been reaching out to local primary and middle schools, and become a regular extra-curricular courses.5. Through a series of investigations, martial arts curriculum, syllabus, curriculum course objectives can be divided into three levels: junior, middle and high.6. Six areas of courses have been done in-depth and detailed study. Confucius Institute is needed for the continous development of Wushu class, on the other hand, martial arts classes in the Confucius Institute will globly promote the significance of martial arts.
