A Survey On "Teachers' Essential Quality" In Changning District Compulsory Education Stage Students

In the education,we still fell puzzled on "how to evaluate what good teachers are" .This kind of phenomenon causes to lack definite orientation on teachers training, developing , and encouraging and effective guidance to teachers, finally it affects the teaching quality. Therefore, discussing this problem has very significant theoretical value and practical significance. We are studying through the special investigation on this problem.We have various frame about evaluation standard of good teachers .Such as: good teachers evaluation in administrative departments , good teachers in academic sense, and good teachers in students',parents mind and domestic and overseas for good teacher evaluation system. This study attempts to discuss some problems from pupils and students angle. We adopt special questionnaire to get the answer .This questionnaire -"Good Teachers In Students'Mind"is designed by ourselves and we investigated 223 pupils and 138 students, the results showed that --Pupils of Grade Three,Four and Five have high requirements in"Teachers'Emotional Accomplishment"and"Moral Character Accomplishment"."Teachers'Emotional Accomplishment"is more important to girl students. The students who have difficulties in study pay a good deal attention to"Teacher s'Emotional Accomplishment"and"Moral Character Accomplishment". All pupils pay close attention to"Teaching Accomplishment","Emotional Accomplishment"and"Character Accomplishment".They are all very important in pupils'mind. However,"Teaching Accomplishment"is the most important of the three.The students of Grade Six and Seven value"Teachers Teaching Accomplishment"and"Emotional Accomplishment". They also value"Personal Character Accomplishment".And especially in Grade Six students'mind. In girl students and boy students'mind, they show no difference on good teachers'image.Junior high school students think"Teachers Teaching Accomplishment"is more important than"Character Accomplishment"."Teachers'Moral Character accomplishment"in students'mind is more important than it in pupils'mind. There's no significant difference in other two aspects.
