This study tried to observe responsive and recovery characteristics of immune function induced by an acute incremental ergometer exercise, and to observe the effect of hyperoxia intake on immune recovery rate.20 students from SCNU served as the subjects, and they were randomly divided into the hyperoxia group and the control group. The venous samples were taken before exercise, just after exercise, post-exercise SOmin and 24h, respectively. The immune parameters included RBC-CsbRR, RBC-ICR, immunoglobulins ( IgG, IgA and IgM). The correlation of serum MDA and LA with these parameters were analyzed so as to observe the tendency of immune alteration after acute incremental exercise and to understand if hyperoxia intake is helpful to accelerate recovery rate of exercise-induced fatigue.Subjects of two groups executed an same incremental ergometer exercise up to exhaustion. After exercise, compared with the natural recovery in the control group, SOmin hyperoxia (70% oxygen) was given to the experiment group. The results as follows:1. RBC-CabRR of two groups decreased significantly just after exercise and RBC-ICR showed reverse change. This indicated that the erythrocyte immunity was suppressed just after acute incremental exercise.2. Compared to just after exercise, RBC-CsbRR increased significantly SOmin after exercise, and returned basically to pre-exercise level 24 hours later. Otherwise, RBC-ICR showed a continuous fall SOmin and 24 hours after exercise, and returned to pre-exercise level 24 hours later. It indicated that the erythrocyte immune function showed an enhanced state SOmin after exercise and had basically restored 24 hours after exercise. As a thumb rule, responsive course of the erythrocyte immunity to acute incremental exercise could be divided into three phases: activation, compensation and restoration.3. The difference of immune parameters between hyperoxia group and control group was observed so as to determine if hyperoxia intake could facilitate eliminating rate of immunosuppression. Compared with control group, RBC-CabRR in hyperoxia group showed more significant increase and RBC-ICR more significant decrease., up to 24 hours later, even lower than pre-exercise level. It suggested that hyperoxia intake, to some extent, may accelerate the recovery rate of immunosuppression after acute exercise, and that hyperoxia intake can serve as a method to eliminate exercise-induced fatigue.4. Effects of hyperoxia intake on the erythrocyte immunity was observed especially after exercise. The results indicated that the ability to immune adhesion of erythrocyte showed increase after hyperoxia intake recovery, and that eliminating rate to immune complex raised more significantly,.5..Compred with control group, the serum MDA, LA has similar alterative tend in experiment group after hyperoxia intake. Such results indicated that how to apply this method effectively after exercise maybe determined by intake time, which should be studied further.6. Consistent with most research, immunoglobulin level changed insignificantly after acute exercise. The results showed the recovery rate of immunoglobulin changed after hyperoxia intake, however, whether should be study further.
