Achievement motivation is an important social motivation. It has great influence on individual behavior. In the view of achievement motivation, the purpose of this research is to find out the influence of goal orientation and career decision-making self-efficacy on occupational choices of undergraduates.Taking 201 undergraduates as subjects, the Goal Orientation Scale, the Career Decision-making Self-efficacy Scale, the Career Consideration Questionnaire as measuring instruments, the paper discusses the undergraduates' characteristics of goal orientation and career decision-making self-efficacy, the relationship among goal orientation, career decision-making self-efficacy, and the scope of occupational choices. The results indicate:1.Undergraduates show more learning goal orientation than prove-performance goal orientation and avoid-performance goal orientation, and there are no significant gender differences.2.Significant gender differences among male and female students regarding their career decision-making self-efficacy are found.3.Both goal orientation and career decision-making self-efficacy has significant positive co-relation with scope of occupational choices, Significant gender differences on the two positive co-relations are reported.4.Both goal orientation and career decision-making self-efficacy shows significant predictability on the scope, of occupational choices. The predictability of career decision-making self-efficacy shows significant gender differences.5.The three dimensions of goal orientation interact with career decision-making self-efficacy on the scope of occupational choices.
