Fundamental education is the basic project which can improve people's diathesis in our whole nation, and rural fundamental education plays a big part in the whole structure of education. Curricula are the kernel and crux of education. To increase the research of the reform and development of rural fundamental education, is not only of great help to the deepening of curricula developing theory and the consummation of the rural fundamental education curricula system, but can supply reference for the diathesis education in countryside. There are a few researches on the rural fundamental education curricula reform, but they are not enough at all. They neglected, from the historical point of view, the history, characteristic and moral of the reform and development of rural fundamental education curricula, and didn't completely disclosed the problems which exist nowadays. So the countermeasures are not quite suitable. According to this, in this article, it chooses the historical and present circumstances of the reform and development of rural fundamental education curricula in the new period as the object of study, and the fundamental approach and adaptable approach as the breach, analysises the history of rural fundamental education curricula's development with methods of document analysis and case study and so on, sums up the lessons and morals, comes up with the basic countermeasures in future according to its tendency.The dissertation consists of five parts.Part I is the preface. It introduces the object of study, and with the literature summary, states the significance and the methods of this research and the research plan of this paper.Part II is an analysis of the detail of the correction and improvement to thecurricula reform from 1978 to 1984. After the period, fundamental approach and adaptable approach are come back to the rural fundamental education curricula.Part III is an analysis of the attempt reform of rural fundamental education curricula from 1985 to 1997. Under the condition of deepening of the reform in the whole country, meaningful attempt of fundamental education curricula reform had been done in many countryside regions of China, which improved the adaptability of it.Part IV is an analysis of the wholly reform of rural fundamental education curricula since 1998. On the basis of the breakthrough, which is a result of the attempt done before, and of the wide-spread practice of diathesis education, we come up with the new theory and ideas about the curricula reform, which are significant to rural fundamental curricula reform.Part V is an analysis of the countermeasures of the deeper reform and development of rural education curricula according to the experience and moral of it.
