Inquiry teaching in physics class is a significant change from theory to practice in contrast to traditional physics teaching .As an important scientific curriculum, physics curriculum has some advantages in implementing inquiry teaching .In new curriculum reform of basic education, inquiry teaching has become a basic method in physics new curriculum. With the development of new curriculum reform, in order to have a better implement on inquiry teaching in general middle school physics class, we investigated on practice implement status in quo in Chongqing No 48 junior middle school physics class by using case study ,comprehensive using different methods such as interview, questionnaire, class observation and literature analysis. By investigation we find some problems existed, discuss on basic idealities and discuss the implementary strategies in junior middle school physics teaching, then put forward some suggestions for its further development.The dissertation has three parts:Part one, the current status in quo and study significant of inquiry teaching in junior middle school physics class. After having a questionnaire on inquiry teaching status in quo in chongqing junior middle school physics class, we analyze some problems existed in inquiry teaching in current junior middle school physics class, and expound the significant of the study on this topic from both theory and practice aspects.Part two, the study of essence and theoretic base on junior middle school class inquiry teaching. Having an analysis on several related concepts, we define the essential connotation of inquiry teaching, and conclude the scientific basis, psychological basis and educational basis ofphysics class inquiry teaching.Part three, the study of strategies on junior middle school physics class inquiry teaching. Based on the literature analysis, and the living examples in chongqing No 48 junior middle school physics teaching, we discuss on the inquiry teaching's basic idealities, guarantee conditions, principles of instruction, process of instruction and methods of instruction in junior middle school physics class, thus provide its implement with some guidances and references.
